Ilaria is 10 years old and comes from Kherson. She is a bright, creative, and very dreamy girl who, despite undergoing difficult treatment, has not lost her love for beauty, art, and her big plans for the future. Ilaria is currently undergoing treatment at the Okhmatdyt National Children’s Specialized Hospital, where she is battling acute monoblastic leukemia and requires a bone marrow transplant. Her treatment journey is not easy—hospital walls, constant procedures, tests, and waiting. But even in these circumstances, Illaria remains a child who knows how to dream, find joy in creativity, and believe in a bright future. What she loves most is drawing. Through her drawings, Illaria expresses her emotions, lets her imagination run wild, and creates her own world, where there is more color, lightness, and joy. She also loves to read and play the piano—music helps her calm down, and books open up new worlds where she can forget about hospital life, at least for a little while. Her big dream is to become a fashion designer. Ilaria imagines herself creating beautiful dresses, coming up with new looks, and bringing beauty to people through her ideas. She loves fashion, style, and the ability to express a person’s character and mood through clothing. She also dreams of traveling to Paris—a city she associates with beauty, art, and inspiration. She wants to see the Eiffel Tower, stroll through the streets of a city that inspires artists and designers from all over the world, and perhaps, right there, believe even more strongly in her future career. Despite all the difficulties, Illaria never stops dreaming. Her story is about a little girl with a big heart who fights for her health every day, yet continues to see the world as beautiful, filled with colors, music, and hope.
